कोकिलावन धाम उत्तर प्रदेश के मथुरा जिले में कोसी कलां (Kosi Kalan) के पास स्थित एक पवित्र तीर्थ स्थल है। यह स्थान लगभग 20 एकड़ में फैला हुआ है और शनि देव तथा श्री कृष्ण दोनों से जुड़ा हुआ है।
Kokilavan Dham is a sacred temple complex located near Kosi Kalan (about 10 km from Kosi Kalan), near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. This holy site spans approximately 20 acres and is divinely connected to both Shani Dev and Lord Krishna.
द्वापर युग में, शनि देव को बाल कृष्ण के दर्शन नहीं करने दिए गए थे क्योंकि उनकी "वक्र दृष्टि" (टेढ़ी नज़र) से भय था। इस बात से दुखी होकर शनि देव ने इसी स्थान पर कठोर तपस्या की।
In Dwapara-yuga, Shani Dev was barred from seeing infant Krishna due to fear of his "vakra-drishti" (malefic gaze). Saddened by this, Shani Dev performed intense penance at this very place.
शनि देव की तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर श्री कृष्ण ने उन्हें दर्शन दिए और उन्हें यहीं रहने का आशीर्वाद दिया। बाद में, जब कृष्ण बड़े हुए, तो वे कभी-कभी इस वन में आते थे और गोपियों से मिलने के लिए कोयल (कोकिला) का रूप धारण करते थे। इसी कारण इस वन का नाम "कोकिलावन" (कोयल का वन) पड़ा।
Pleased with Shani Dev's penance, Lord Krishna appeared before him and blessed him to stay there forever. Later, when Krishna grew up, he would sometimes come to this forest and disguise himself as a cuckoo (kokila) to meet the gopis. Because of this, the forest became known as "Kokilavan" (Cuckoo Forest).
इस दिव्य संबंध (शनि देव + कृष्ण) के कारण, यहां की पूजा विशेष रूप से शक्तिशाली मानी जाती है। भक्तों का विश्वास है कि यहां सच्चे मन से पूजा करने पर शनि देव और कृष्ण दोनों का आशीर्वाद मिलता है, जो शनि के प्रभाव से होने वाली कठिनाइयों (शनि दोष) को दूर करता है और सुरक्षा प्रदान करता है।
Because of this divine connection (Shani Dev + Krishna), worship here is considered especially powerful. Devotees believe that sincere worship grants the blessings of both Shani Dev and Krishna, removing difficulties caused by Shani's influence (Shani-dosh) and bringing divine protection.

कोकिलावन धाम में पूजा करने का सही क्रम | Step-by-step guide for worship at Kokilavan Dham
कैसे पहुंचें: कोसी कलां (Kosi Kalan) पहुंचें, फिर वहां से लगभग 10 किमी दूर कोकिलावन धाम है। सड़क/रेल मार्ग से आसानी से पहुंचा जा सकता है।
How to Reach: Travel by road/rail to Kosi Kalan, then reach Kokilavan Dham (about 10 km from Kosi Kalan).
क्या करें: मंदिर परिसर की परिक्रमा (प्रदक्षिणा) करें। यह पूजा की शुरुआत का पारंपरिक तरीका है।
What to Do: Perform parikrama (pradakshina) around the temple premises. This is the traditional way to begin worship.
क्या करें: सूर्यकुंड या परिसर के किसी पवित्र कुंड में स्नान करें। यह शरीर और मन की शुद्धि के लिए आवश्यक है।
What to Do: Take a holy bath in Suryakund or one of the temple ponds. This purifies body and mind before worship.
